Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 No entertainment of an adult nature will take place on the premises.
2 The Licence holder is to support and rigorously enforce the Challenge 21 proof of age policy.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 21 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:
i. UK photo driving licence
ii. Passport
iii. Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card
OR any other nationally or locally approved form of identification which may be introduced in the future.
3 Notices will be displayed regarding the drugs, noise, Challenge 21, CCTV and search policies at the entrance to the premises.
4 The DPS will become a member of the Nightsafe and Radiolink schemes.
5 All staff are to be trained on drugs awareness and relevant parts of the Licensing Act. Training records will be made available to the authorities for inspection.
6 The fire alarm will be tested weekly.
7 Risk assessments will be undertaken on a yearly basis.
8 A noise assessment will be carried out and a health and safety policy put in place which will be available to the authorities at all times.
9 Posters requesting that patrons leave the premises quietly will be displayed at the exits.
10 No drinks are permitted to be taken from the premises.
11 The premises are to be equipped with a closed circuit television system which meets the criteria detailed in Lancashire Constabulary's guidance document CCTV/AW1 and which is well maintained and fully functional during the hours the premises are open to members of the public.
12 A staff member who is conversant with the operation of the CCTV system will be on the premises at all times that the premises is open to the public. This staff member will be able to show police recent data or footage with the absolute minimum of delay when requested. This data or footage reproduction should be almost instantaneous.
13 There will be fixed seating provision for at least 55% of the available floor space overall.
14 There will be frequent collections of drink containers and glassware to avoid accumulation.
15 The provision of food shall form a substantial element of the operation of the premises. Menus will be displayed on tables throughout the trading period. This will include the provision of table meals up to 11pm each night and thereafter, snacks will be available.
16 The premises shall contain sufficient furniture and seating in order that they do not become a High Volume Vertical Drinking establishment as defined as para 10.41 Statutory Guidance DCMS.
17 The sale of intoxicating liquor will be to persons who are seated and by waiter / waitress service.
