Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 Food waste from the business shall be bagged and stored in the waste receptacles at the rear of the premises. Food waste must not be left out in the open air overnight.
2 Alcohol sales will only be off sales, and will only be available to buy with hot food sales over £5.
3 Only 75cl bottles of white, rose and red wine and Chinese bottled beer will be sold.
4 The alcohol promotion to encourage hot food sales will be to offer one 'free' bottle of wine or two bottled beers on orders over £20.
5 Alcohol can be purchased through the delivery service via telephone. The customer will be informed that they must be over the age of 18 years old and the driver will ask for proof of age if in doubt using the Challenge 25 scheme. No alcohol will be sold if age cannot be proved.
6 The retail of alcohol may not take place at the delivery site (i.e. any customer's home address). Alcohol may only be provided to customers when payment is made in the licensed premises, either by way of cash payment in person on the premises, or when the customer is not present, card payments can be made with details being taken over the telephone prior to the delivery of the alcohol. This includes the provision of 'free' alcohol on promotional deals where the alcohol is subject to a set amount of food being purchased, or any other such offers which involve the provision of alcohol to encourage hot food sales.
7 The Licence holder and the DPS is to support and rigorously enforce a Challenge 25 proof of age policy.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 25 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:
i. UK photo driving licence
ii. Passport
iii. Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card
OR any other nationally or locally approved form of identification which may be introduced in the future. If no suitable identification is provided, sale of alcohol to them will be refused. Signs promoting this policy shall be prominently displayed at public entrances and alcohol sales areas.
8 All members of staff will be trained on the rules of the Challenge 25 scheme and which identification can be used. The DPS will give full training to staff to ensure correct procedures are followed in the sales of alcohol.
9 The DPS will be on the premises or contactable at all times.
10 All members of staff are over 18 years of age.
11 A clear sign to indicate the opening and closing times will be displayed at the premises.
12 A clear sign to indicate that alcohol can only be purchased with hot food for consumption off the premises will be displayed at the premises.
13 Signs will de displayed at the exit requesting the customers respect the needs of nearby residents and to leave the premises and surrounding area quietly.
14 Deliveries are made during the afternoon to prevent disturbances at inappropriate times.
15 Staff will leave the premises quietly and not cause any disturbance in the vicinity.
16 The premises licence holder(s) will adopt any guidance offered by the Council or Government.
17 The sale of alcohol will only take place in the front public counter area of the takeaway.
