Additional Conditions

• Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions

   

  Alcohol

   

  1              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  a)              At a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,

   

  or

   

  b)              At a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence, or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2              Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  3              Permitted hours on New Year’s Eve extend from the end of permitted hours on 31 December to the start of permitted hours on New Year's Day.

   

  Exhibition of films

   

  1              Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless (2) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body

   

  2              Where  -

   

  a)              The film classification body is not specified in the licence,

   

  or

   

  b)              The relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this condition is applied to the film in question,

   

  Admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

   

  Door Supervision

   

  1              Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

  Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule

   

  1              The pub manager is required to actively participate in and support the local Pubwatch scheme.

   

  2              Text and / or radio pagers, where already used, will be used for any additional hours.

   

  3              Toughened glass will be used during all opening hours.

   

  4              A CCTV system will operate during all opening hours.

   

  5              In line with the company's alcohol and social responsibility policy there will be no promotions that encourage illegal, irresponsible or immoderate consumption.

   

  6              Reasonable steps are to be taken to recognise the rights of local residents and to encourage customers to leave the premises quietly.

   

  7              Managers are required to liaise with local neighbours as part of their duties and resolve any reasonable concerns in accordance with the Company's Role in the Community Guidelines.

   

  8              No adult entertainment (paid for by the company of a nude physical nature) is permitted at the premises. Any children under 16 remain the responsibilty of the accompanying adult when using the premises. Staff are not allowed to be in sole supervision of children which remains the responsibility of the accompanying adult at all times.

   

  9              A sign will be maintained in a prominent place in the beer garden which states "Strictly No Ball Games - This is not a Play Area".

   

  10              The south facing fire doors must remain closed at all times, save for emergency access.

  Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority

   

  The applicant will fence off the play area to include a lockable gate so that the play area can be closed at 2100 hours.

   

  Before the applicant extends their hours of opening the applicant shall employ the services of a reputable engineer to repair the ventilation system and a sound consultant to undertake a detailed noise assessment of the ventilation and cooling systems. A copy of this report shall be made available to the Environmental Protection department of the Council for their comments and approval. Any sound attenuation works should be carried out in accordance with the noise assessment and to the satisfaction of the Environmental Services Division.
