• Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions

   

  1              Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.  In this condition, permitted hours means:

   

  a)              On Monday to Sunday 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

   

  The above restrictions do not prohibit:

   

  a)              During the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;

  b)              The ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;

  c)              The sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;

  d)              The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air force;

   

  2              Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises.

   

  3              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  a)              At a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,

   

  or

   

  b)              At a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  4              Every supply of alcohol under the premise licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

  Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule

   

  1              The Premises Licence holder will take steps to deter persons from congregating outside the premises and to prevent the deposit of litter from products sold on the premises.

   

  2              CCTV is to be installed at the premises and maintained in accordance with the reasonable requirements of the Police and in line with the current CCTV specifications.

   

  3              A refusals register will be maintained at the premises and available to the authorities on request.

   

  4              All staff will be trained in relation to the sale of alcohol and alcohol awareness before being allowed to make sales of alcohol to the public. The training will be documented and made available to the authorities on request.

   

  5              Refresher staff training will take place at 3 monthly intervals and be documented and made available to the authorities on request.

   

  6              The Challenge 25 scheme will be adopted in the store at all times. The only identification that is to be accepted as proof of age are the driving licence, passport and government approved PASS cards.

   

  7              The tills used at all points of sale will have till prompts to alert staff to request identification on every occasion a purchase of alcohol is made.

   

  8              At least 2 members of staff are on duty after 1800 hours.

   

  9              Alcohol may only be displayed where it can be supervised at all times by a member of staff.
