Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 The non-standard timings permitted for the provision of Late Night Refreshment, Regulated Entertainment and Opening Hours are:
a) On the Friday to Monday of the Easter, May, Spring and August Bank Holidays an additional hour is permitted
b) On Christmas Eve to Boxing Day an additional hour is permitted
c) On New Year's Day an additional hour is permitted
2 Additional training will be given to all house managers on dealing with illegal activities and aggressive customers.
3 The premises will join the Pubwatch scheme.
4 A sensible drinking policy and training is in place, relating to restrictions on discounting and promotions, sale to under 18's and drunks.
5 Additional training is provided on communicating with customers when service is refused for no proof of ID.
6 Additional training is provided on communicating with customers when service is refused for drunkenness.
7 An adequate assessment of risk shall be carried out by the House Manager or other such person and if necessary, from the risk assessment, then door supervisors will be used.
8 CCTV to be used on the premises.
9 External lighting of car parks and walkways.
10 Noise attenuation measures to be used.
11 No external drinking after 23.00 hours.
12 Signs requesting patrons to leave quietly to be displayed on the premises.
13 Delivery and collection times not to be changed.
14 Regulated entertainment (excluding recorded music) to end at 23.00 hours.
15 No external regulated entertainment permitted.
16 External background music to be turned off at 21.00 hours.
17 All windows and external doors to be kept shut during live performance save for customer access and egress.
18 No under 18's to be allowed on site after 21.00 hours.
19 Minimum signage to be displayed on the AWP's.
20 Audited proof of age scheme to be in place.
21 The volume of amplified sound used in connection with any regulated entertainment shall at all times be under the control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the premises inaccessible to the public.
22 All externally opening doors and windows are to remain in a closed position during performances of regulated entertainment.
23 Noise from any Regulated Entertainment shall be inaudible within the nearest sensitive properties.
24 Mechanical ventilation systems should be fitted to ensure that sufficient ventilation exists, which will prevent the need for doors / windows to be opened.
25 All training documents and notices must be consistent in their reference to Challenge 25.
26 All training documents must refer to the licensing objective 'The Prevention of Children from Harm' and to harm arising to children.
27 A minimum of 2 door staff must be employed on Friday and Saturdays from 8pm until closing time and the southern door (on Topping Street) must be used for entry only.
28 An annual training event must take place on the premises relating to the Protection of Children From Harm.
29 Representatives from the door staff company used by the premises must be invited to attend staff meetings.
30 Daily sheets relating to underage sales must be signed by all staff before starting work.
