Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 Sufficient external lighting will be installed and maintained to discourage illegal activity.
2 Staff will be trained to be vigilant and identify suspicious behaviour and take appropriate action.
3 Strategically located CCTV cameras to be installed internally and externally at the premises to deter and monitor any illegal activity. Recorded images to be retained for 31 days and will be made available to the police upon request.
4 Advice on the prevention of disorderly behaviour outside the premises will be sought from the Crime Reduction Officer / City Centre Safe Officer where appropriate.
5 The local Fire Authority and other responsible Authorities will be consulted, where appropriate.
6 Public Liability insurance will be in place.
7 Fire extinguisher will be regularly inspected and maintained.
8 The premises and surrounding areas will be kept tidy.
9 Prominent signage about the laws relating to children and alcohol will be displayed on the premises.
10 Staff will be fully aware of legislation and always vigilant.
11 Staff will comply with the Proof of Age scheme, with acceptable forms of ID being restricted to: Passport, Photo Card Driving Licence or Citizen Card.
12 A 'refusal book' will be kept to record details of incidents where Staff have refused a customer thought to be underage.
13 The premises and its vicinity will be monitored in order to ensure that children are not pressuring other customers to buy alcohol on their behalf.
