• Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions

   

  1              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  a)              At a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,

   

  or

   

  b)              At a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2              Every supply of alcohol under the premise licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

  Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule

   

  1              Staff are trained to be aware of the potential for underage drinking and proof of identity is requested for any persons attempting to purchase alcohol if their age is of concern.  The premises complies with the "Nightsafe" intiative in asking for proof of age.

   

  2              Staff are also trained to be aware of clients who may be or are becoming drunk or under the influence of drugs.  Sales of alcohol will not be allowed to customers suspected of being in such a condition.  We display notices warning customers that the sale of alcohol, solvents and cigarettes are subject to our policy to ask for proof of age as being over 21 years of age or we refuse service.

   

  3              Staff will not tolerate anti social behaviour, disorderly conduct or violence of any kind on or around the premises and police will be called to deal with any potential incidents in order to prevent a serious incident and to deter customers from such behaviour in the future.

   

  4              There are physical security systems in place at the premise to prevent the theft of alcohol from the premises which consist of locked spirit cabinets and CCTV cameras located in the shop.  The exterior of the premises are well lit.

   

  5              The exterior of the premises will be monitored on a regular basis during the opening hours to ensure that no customers have left waste paper, bottles or cans outside the shop and any such behaviour will be discouraged.

   

  6              Nuisance to local residents will be monitored by staff.  Customers of the premises will be discouraged from congregating on the street in the locality.

   

  7              CCTV cameras will operate in the shop premises.  The service counter is next to the door which would allow staff to intercept any child attempting to leave the premises in possession of alcohol.  The firm will operate a Proof of Age scheme and seek identification in all cases where the customer is considered underage for the purchase of alcohol or cigarettes.

   

  8              The current Designated Premises Supervisor (Thanuja Peethamparam) will be               replaced on the licence by the 24th October 2006.
