Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 Noise from any Regulated Entertainment, Mechanical Ventilation or Refrigeration Plant shall be inaudible within the nearest sensitive properties or, at the discretion of the Local Authority, shall not exceed some other pre-agreed limit, which does not cause unreasonable disturbance to the residents of these properties or their guests.
2 All internal doors to any entrance/exit point, fire exit doors and external windows shall be closed during hours of any Regulated Entertainment except in the event of an emergency, save for the purpose of access and egress.
3 Vibration produced as a result of any Regulated Entertainment shall not be perceptible in any adjoining or nearby sensitive properties.
4 The volume of amplified sound used in connection with entertainment shall at all times be under the control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the premises inaccessible to the public.
5 The licence holder shall arrange adequate supervision of any queue, which may form to gain entry to the premises.
6 Risk assessments carried out by or on behalf of the licence holder which relate to a licensing objective will be made available to the Responsible Authorities.
7 The licensee shall ensure that noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be disturbed. To this end sound insulation shall be provided and regard must be had to the ventilation requirements for the premises. All sound insulation shall be installed to the satisfaction of the Council.
8 No Entertainment of an ‘adult’ or ‘sexual’ nature will take place upon the licensed premises.
9 Performances which are advertised or promoted for a children’s audience will be staffed by persons who have been trained by the management of the licensed premises in relation to the emergency evacuation and supervision of children. The training shall be to the satisfaction of the Responsible Authority.
10 Staff employed to supervise children performing in or attending regulated entertainment shall be familiar with the layout of the premises, the location of facilities, fire escape routes and the location of fire fighting equipment.
11 Staff employed shall receive instruction on the fire procedures applicable to the venue prior to the first performance.
12 The licence holder at any premises being used for children’s entertainment shall so far as it is practicable arrange for any special effects which may trigger an allergic reaction in children, particularly flashing lights, dry ice, foam and smoke to be made known to responsible adults when admission of the children is sought or arranged.
