Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 There are no restrictions on the hours for the sale of intoxicants to residents.
2 The basement Family Bar will be open to the public from Good Friday until the end of the Illuminations between 1200 and 2200 hours. Any entertainment or supply of alcohol outside of these hours will be for residents only.
3 The Licence holder is to support and rigorously enforce the Challenge 21 proof of age policy.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 21 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:
i. UK photo driving licence
ii. Passport
iii. Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card
4 Noise from any Regulated Entertainment will be inaudible at the nearest sensitive premises or, at the discretion of the Local Authority, shall not exceed some other pre-agreed limit, which does not cause unreasonable disturbance to neighbouring residents and their guests.
5 There shall be no audible noise or perceptible vibration through the fabric of the building or structure to any habitable part of any adjoining property. (Habitable part means any part of the building or outdoor space, in substantial use at the time of the entertainment and does not include bathrooms, toilets, corridors or access lobbies.)
6 All doors and windows in the function room and adjoining corridors/access rooms shall be kept closed during Regulated Entertainment except in the event of an emeregency.
7 The volume of amplified sound used in connection with entertainment shall at all times be under control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the premises not accessible to the public.
8 Regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises during Regulated Entertainment shall be made and the noise level adjusted accordingly.
9 Any performances of comedy which contains material not suitable for children will be for adults only.
10 The children's area will be away from but accessible to the bar area.
11 No premium lagers or shots to be stocked.
12 There will be radio contact between door, bar and reception.
13 CCTV at the premises will be monitored by hotel reception.
14 There will be ongoing risk assessments to all public areas. Fire alarm detection system and equipment to be tested in accordance with current legislation.
15 Fire escapes to be kept clear and in good order.
16 Electrical equipment to be PAT compliant.
17 Staff to be trained in fire and evacuation drills.
18 The bar area is to be kept clear of empty drinks containers and other litter.
19 A polite notice will be displayed at the exits reminding customers to be respectful to others (to include smoking area).
20 There will be a freephone taxi service.
21 Children are to be accompanied by at least one adult including when the adult is in the smoking area.
