Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 A full periodic inspection of the current installation should be carried out and any matters which may affect public safety remedied before the licence takes effect. Alternatively a new electrical installation may be provided which is certified as being safe and to current standards. All works should be carried out by a competent electrical contractor who is either affiliated to the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) or a member of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).
2 Bargain Booze Limited maintains a "21" policy. Any person who appears to be under the age of 21 years will be asked for identification before alcohol is sold to them. The only acceptable forms of identification are those which contain both a date of birth and a photograph, i.e. passport, photographic driving licence or a PASS approved Proof of Age Card.
3 Bargain Booze Limited offers a reward for persons who give information which leads to the conviction of adults who are purchasing alcohol and then supplying it to people under the age of 18.
4 The shop and storage areas will be extensively alarmed under a monitored system. This will include a personal attack alarm button sited in the till and store areas. All doors and windows will be included in the alarm system.
5 A multipoint CCTV system will be installed covering the sales and till areas, there will be a minimum of eight internal cameras and two external cameras. The cameras will be linked to a recording system and images will be made available to the police on their request.
6 External roller shutters will be installed at the premises for out of hours use.
7 In addition to the DPS a number of full-time and part-time staff posts will be created. This will ensure that there are always two personnel on duty in the shop after 1800. No shop assistant under the age of 18 will be employed to serve alcohol.
