Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 The means of escape should be safe, free from any obstruction and checked prior to the public being admitted on the premises.
2 A fire risk assessment to be completed by a competent person and the significant findings made available for inspection by a Fire Officer, Police Officer or authorised Officer of the Council.
3 Any staff or responsible persons using the property shall receive training in action to be taken in the event of a fire or suspicion of a fire, this shall be recorded and records made available for inspection by a Fire Officer, Police Officer or authorised Officer of the Council.
4 An electrical fire alarm system to be provided incorporating sounders and manually operated call points, with automatic fire detection included in unoccupied areas, storerooms, common corridors, in which a fire could develop to the extent that escape routes could be affected before a fire is discovered. The fire alarm shall also be connected to any living accommodation to give early warning in case of fire. The fire alarm to be tested in accordance with BS 5839 part 1, this shall be recorded and records made available for inspection by a Fire Officer, Police Officer or authorised Officer of the Council.
5 Escape routes are to be indicated and illuminated by emergency escape lighting, as required, which is to be tested in accordance with BS 5266, this shall be recorded and records made available for inspection by a Fire Officer, Police Officer or authorised Officer of the Council.
6 No drinks shall be provided in glass containers.
7 Litter bins shall be provided and maintained at the premises.
8 CCTV cameras will be installed at the premises.
9 Foodstuffs will be suitably labelled.
10 Staff will be trained in food safety, health and safety and food preparation. The licence holder will provide use of personal protective equipment for public and cooking areas.
11 The premises has a recommended seating capacity of 20 persons and a standing capacity of 20 persons.
12 The premises will display public health and safety certificates where appropriate.
13 The premises operates a policy for clearing litter from outside the premises and 25 metres along the pavement in either direction as necessary on a regular basis while the premises are open and at the end of each working day.
14 Children under 12 are prohibited from entering the premises unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
15 Children under 16 are prohibited from entering the premises after the hours of midnight to 3am.
