Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure staff prevent the removal of bottles or glasses from the curtilage and grounds of the licensed premises.
2 Only toughened glass vessels are used to dispense beverages to customers.
3 At least one personal licence holder will be available on the licensed premises while the supply or sale of alcohol is being undertaken (who’s identity will be known to all other staff engaged in the supply or sale of alcohol) except in the case of emergency.
4 Another member of staff shall be nominated to act for the Designated Premises Supervisor, in their absence, whose identity is known by all other staff when such absence occurs.
5 Risk assessments carried out by or on behalf of the Licence holder which relate to a licensing objective will be available for inspection by an officer or a Responsible Authority.
6 During the final hour of daily trading appropriate announcements are made or images are projected to remind patrons of the need to leave the premises without causing annoyance, nuisance or disturbance to local residents and to advise patrons of any taxi free-phone or collection arrangements available upon the premises.
7 The volume of amplified sound used in connection with entertainment shall at all times be under the control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the premises inaccessible to the public.
8 Frequent collection of glasses and bottles will be undertaken to ensure that empty containers do not accumulate in or around the licensed premises.
9 A clear, legible and conspicuous notice requesting patrons to avoid causing noise, nuisance or disturbance to local residents shall be displayed at every exit.
10 Before the applicant extends their hours of opening the applicant shall employ the services of a reputable sound consultant to undertake a detailed noise assessment. A copy of this report shall be made available to Environmental Protection for their comments and approval. Any sound attenuation works shall be carried out in accordance with the noise assessment and to the satisfaction of the Environmental Services Division.
11 Noise from any regulated entertainment will be inaudible at the nearest sensitive premises or, at the discretion of the Local Authority, shall not exceed some other pre-agreed limit, which does not cause unreasonable disturbance to neighbouring residents or their guests.
12 All external windows and doors in the function room will be kept closed during regulated entertainment except in the event of an emergency.
13 The maximum number of persons to be accommodated in any particular part of the premises shall be as follows:
First Floor Games Room: 100
First Floor Balcony: 150
Ground Floor Lounge: 200
Ground Floor Concert Room: 400
14 CCTV systems are in place at the venue.
15 The Licence holder is to support and rigorously enforce the Challenger 21 proof of age policy.
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 21 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable:
i. UK photo driving licence
ii. Passport
iii. Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card
16 There shall be no activities of an 'adult' or 'sexual' nature on the premises. Any show or performance which may contain material unsuitable for children will only be performed after 2100.
17 On New Year's Eve the permitted hours for all licensable activities may be extended until 0300 the following morning with the premises closing to the public thirty minutes thereafter.
18 Access to the premises by children and young persons is permitted when accompanied by an adult as follows:
a. When attending private functions throughout the duration of the function
b. When attending organised entertainment to use the lounge and / or concert room
i. If under 11 years of age until 2100
ii. If under 18 years of age until midnight
c. 16 and 17 year olds may use the games room / concert room / lounge subject to providing proof of age
